Currencies App Reviews

Recommended as a useful, fast and easy app to use. However please, please remove the "Unable to find an internet connection" popup when the network connection goes offline. This kind of app should be quiet, in the background, and never throw errors, especially for something as common as a network connection dropping (which happens to me about 20 times a day).

Really simple and nice to have, especially since I have to do many conversions a day right now, its a lot faster than going to the Dashboard (sorry, Dashboard). While the currency symbols are a nice touch, the only problem is when theyre the same, they look the same. A$ and US$ both just show "$", but at the top it at least says "$AUD to $USD". You just have to always know that the first one is on top. Also, finding currencies is a little difficult. Major and common ones are at top (USD, CAD, EUR, GBP, JPY) and the rest are sorted alphabetically. If I could type in the 3-digit code and it popped up that would be great, (SEK instead of scrolling down to Swedish krona). Otherwise, good.

in my job I need to convert currencies all the time and this easy to use, one click away from you Application makes it even easier, it shows you when was your conversion refreshed and always up to date. thanks guys for this useful , $ worthy software.

Two exchanges with customer support were completely unhelpful. I can find no way to change the currencies on this application.

It needs a Clear button and/or if you press C on the keyboard it clears. Otherwise you have to hit backspace to do a new conversion. Also the ability to copy and paste conversions from the app into other programs would be great!

The combination of being accessable from (and collapsing back into) the menu bar and the ease of quickly switching between currencies makes this a really useful app for anyone looking to make very quick conversions. I checked the exchange rates against my favorite currency exchange website and they were very comparable.

It suddenly stop working and shows only (null) and NaN - no currencies to be found at all!!! Tried re-install but same problem!

Does what you want it to do, quickly and smoothly without getting in the way. This is perfect as a menubar item (I wish there was a 4-finger gesture or something to trigger it), so you can easily and quickly access it and then put it away just as quickly. As someone else mentioned a little x to clear input fields instead of hitting "delete delete delete" would be a nice touch, and a nice subtle way to display (as an option) previous calculations (a tape) would be a nice as well. Definitely worthwhile at less than the cost of a fancy coffee drink at Star*ucks.

Wont even execute or load anymore, app is now broken. Whats up with that?

I have given up on this app. Its a great idea but in the past few months it has problems connecting to to its company servers. This means it cant update the currency rates. Thats bad enough. What makes it worse is it constantly pops up a warning window saying it cant connect. I spend too much time having to click the OK on the window to clear it. Instead of being a useful utility its wasting my time. DELETED.
